Deliveries take place between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM on both days.

About the Downeasters:
Established in 1949, the Downeasters is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the community through music. Proceeds from singing valentines help the organization support local food pantries, host charitable benefit concerts, raise funds for other local arts non-profits, enable donations to youth and music organizations, and provide sponsorships to students for barbershop and other musical endeavors.

This is all part of our mission: Fostering personal, musical, and community growth and connection through shared vocal harmony.

📍 Delivery Locations

While the chorus is based out of Yarmouth, Singing Valentines are offered by the Downeasters to an approximately 30-mile radius of Portland, Maine.  Singing Valentines may be delivered to workplaces, schools, restaurants, retail locations, coffee shops, libraries, community centers, and homes. We encourage deliveries in settings where the performance can be enjoyed by others as well.

Some Singing Valentines are available at no cost in certain situations. As part of our mission and community outreach and mission, we reserve a limited number of free Singing Valentines each year for special circumstances, charitable causes, or performances that entertain a larger group. These opportunities are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

What is a Singing Valentine?
A Singing Valentine is a unique and memorable gift where a quartet delivers a live musical performance to your chosen recipient. The quartet will sing a Valentine-themed song, present a keepsake silk rose, and take a photo to share after the visit.

How do I place an order for a Singing Valentine?
To place an order, click the BOOK NOW button on this page and select either the four-hour or one-hour delivery window option. Complete the online form and payment to confirm your order.

How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing your order as early as possible to ensure we can plan around the delivery of your Valentine. Delivery slots are limited and fill up quickly, so early booking helps us accommodate your preferred time.

Can Singing Valentines be delivered in public or group settings?
Yes. We welcome deliveries in public and group settings such as workplaces, schools, restaurants, and community spaces. Please include details about the setting when ordering.

What payment methods do you accept?

Can I send a Singing Valentine anonymously?
Yes. You may request anonymity by noting this in the Special Instructions section of the order form.

Can I include a personalized message?
Yes. You can include a personalized message to be delivered along with the song and rose by entering it on the order form.

What songs will be performed?
Our quartets typically perform classic barbershop love songs such as:

• "My Wild Irish Rose,"
• "Heart of My Heart," and
• "Shine On Me."

Additionally, quartets may perform songs from our chorus repertoire suitable for Valentine's Day, including but not limited to:

• "What a Wonderful World,"
• "Bare Necessities,"
• "Blue Skies,"
• "Can You Feel the Love Tonight,"

While we strive to tailor our performances to each unique situation, please note that specific song requests may not be accommodated, as arrangements require four-part harmony. Rest assured, we'll select a song that is appropriate for the situation and intended audience, whether it's a neighbor, friend, or loved one.

Can I request a specific quartet?
You may request a preferred quartet in the Special Instructions section, though specific quartets cannot be guaranteed. Our quartets include:

What if the weather is bad?
We deliver rain or shine when conditions are safe. If severe weather makes travel unsafe, we will contact you with options.
